    About

    I am a cultural anthropologist with research and teaching interests in visual anthropology, gender studies, tourism, fieldwork, qualitative research methods, and museum studies. I have done research in parts of Polynesia, Micronesia, and within the United States.

    The photo on the left is a "selfie" that was taken after one of the tifaifai events in Tahiti. The women gave me the magnificent red hei (head garland) as a present.
