    Personal profile

    About

My position at WWU is split between the Biology Department and the Science Education Group. In Biology, my work focuses on the physiological ecology of marine invertebrates. I am particularly interested in how molluscs live in and respond to their environments. In Science Education, I am a coauthor of a reformed biology curriculum called Life Science and Everyday Thinking. I am also involved in researching the effectiveness of active learning pedagogies.
